Hraninvest-HMC AD, a leading company in metallurgy and industrial construction, has announced important initiatives to transition to more sustainable energy sources in Stara Zagora. Energy renovation of industrial buildings in Momchilgrad
In recent years, Hraninvest-HMC AD has launched a project for the energy renovation of its building facilities in the town of Momchilgrad. The project includes:
- Thermal insulation of external walls
- Replacement of old window frames and doors with PVC windows and doors
- Installation of new energy-efficient lighting fixtures
- Construction of a photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption of electricity
These measures are expected to result in over 57% savings in primary non-renewable energy on an annual basis. The total value of the project is BGN 983,790, of which BGN 440,455 is provided as non-repayable financial aid under the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
Pilot hydrogen installation in Stara Zagora
As part of the ZAHYR project, Hraninvest-HMC AD plans the construction of a pilot hydrogen installation—a system for hydrogen and electricity production, along with a charging station for buses and trucks. The project will be implemented on the company’s site in Stara Zagora.
